Article Abstract:

The general trends in the industrial market and economic, demographic and political influences in both New Haven County and in North Branford are analyzed. An analysis of demand that focuses on the office, residential and commercial markets and an analysis of supply that focuses on vacancy rates, rental rates, and total stock and absorption statistics with regards to the industrial market are presented with a forecast about the future development potential of the area.

Industry and urbanization in Southern California, 1900-1950

Article Abstract:

Historical investigations have disclosed that industrial development and industrial locations have played a major part in the urbanization of Los Angeles. The demographic future of Los Angeles should be considered along with the historical analysis for understanding the city as it is today and planning for the future of the city keeping in mind the unusual combination of the new economy and the region's fixed investment in the ancient infrastructure for production.
