Environmental contamination: every company is at risk

Article Abstract:

Business need to develop plans to cope in the event of an environmental disaster, in order to coordinate action and ensure it is effective. The alternative is to risk adverse publicity, a fall in revenue and share in the market, and a fall in the market price if shares in the company are affected. Environmental planning includes preparation for fires, and pollution of the atmosphere, water supplies, coast, or land areas, and precautionary measures involve first detecting where the risks lie, before making plans to contain them.
