Pacorini: have a cup of high-tech

Article Abstract:

B. Pacorini, a Trieste, Italy-based commodity transporter, has established its reputation in the transport business by being the top handler of coffee in Southern Europe. The firm operates in the ports of Slovenia, Spain, and in the Far East. The company's coffee transport business has been improved by the use of automated coffee bulk handling, which reduces processing and delivery times. The company has replicated its coffee handling facility and procedures for other international firms such as Procter and Gamble.

The sales and marketing potential of the Net is recognized, but few businesses consider the potential legal difficulties in setting up an Internet web-site. The main legal issues concern choosing a domain name for the web-site, which are subject to trade mark issues, structuring the web-site to avoid copyright infringement, and international exposure which can lead to a range of difficult issues.
