The biggest concern of companies planning on expansion is the availability of a knowledgeable, determined and skilled work force. Corporate real estate managers base their location strategy on the availability of skilled workers uniquely adapted to their manufacturing or service requirements. Many of these managers agree that locations that are investing heavily in their education programs are the best choice for expansion sitings, since these areas will also welcome the opportunity to provide training services to make their labor force competitive.
