High-tech detects European hot spots

Article Abstract:

In Europe, the strongest areas for software development are the United Kingdom, France, and Ireland, while some activity is taking place in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. While software development is still focused on the capital cities, some clustering is taking places in such places as Provence, France, and the Netherlands. Some of the key elements in selecting these areas have to do with the availability of business partners, good educational institutions, skilled labor, and multilingual capabilities. Other areas have been identified as well.
