New business opportunities are arising in the border area between the US and Mexico as the NAFTA agreement begins to become established. There is now a very positive climate for foreign investment in Mexico, and the flow of goods between the US and Mexico is set to improve.

Canada bridges the future with NAFTA opportunities

The NAFTA agreement has boosted trade between Canada and the US, with the US shipping goods worth $178.8 billion to Canada in 2000. Increased trade benefits both countries and has created interesting opportunities for site selections on both sides of the border.

The emergence of technology clusters can be seen in Montgomery County, MD, Central Florida, Huntsville, AL, Kansas City, MO, and Albuquerque, NM. There are now more than 63,000 people working in private-sector high-tech employment in Montgomery County, while there are also very high levels of job creation in Tampa, Orlando and Melbourne, FL.
