Investment valuation and portfolio analysis system

Article Abstract:

There are now a number of software packages available to property professionals in the UK which are capable of recording property valuation data and undertaking investment valuations for single properties or complete portfolios. These include Stephen Sykes Associates' Property Investment Valuation and Portfolio Analysis, which provides two main valuation models. It was developed originally to run under DOS and UNIX, and is mainly text based. However, a Windows version is also available.

Financial and Property Software's LandMaster software package allows the user to store and retrieve details of properties, headleases, units and occupational leases, along with related data. It has a sound data structure, and offers the major advantage of allowing the user to approach the data from several different directions. However, it is necessary to purchase the related modules if it is to be used to its full potential.
