Limited liability of companies: the new entity of choice

Article Abstract:

Limited liability company has been the consistent topic of several state legislation proposal or enactment. Sixteen states such as Arizona, Colorado, Florida and Illinois have already passed statutes about this new business form. Around nine states have pending legislation about it. Some of these states are California, Hawaii, Indiana and Missouri. Tax consequences, business prospects, planning opportunities of limited liability companies are discussed.

Special assessments and special taxing districts: a consensus on the accounting

Article Abstract:

Cities and several local government units are striving with the new infrastructure's financing and planning needed to support their locality's expansion. Special independent taxing districts are a certain type of financing vehicle that allows infrastructure improvements to be assisted on a tax-exempt basis without creating problems with a local government units' taxing authority. Do mobile homes pay their fair share?

Article Abstract:

It is the author's conclusion that not enough statistical evidence exists to prove whether a mobile home park or comparable property are taxed equitably. The primary difference is geography and particular zoning rules and regulations.
