Moved by design

Article Abstract:

The architectural practice Whinney Mackay-Lewis Partnership (PLC) compiled a list of requirements when it had to look for rented office space in 1994, and satisfied them in Maple House, Tottenham Court Road, London, England. Priorities included ease of access to public transport and to clients, but it was particularly important to them to be able to design and fit out the premises themselves. A good office design by incumbent architects both creates the best working environment and can also leave a valuable impression with clients.
