Article Abstract:

Town planning laws are likely to stop the continuing development of lifestyle shopping areas where shops, usually found in high streets, are located together on out-of-town developments. The concept of lifestyle shopping allows customers to visit specific types of shops or shops usually located in the centre of towns, on developements with other facilities, such as restaurants. Some developers forecast that retailing outlets and leisure facilities will be located on the same site.
