A shift in focus

Article Abstract:

Leisure operators in the UK are turning to hotels and health and fitness as the pubs sector reaches saturation point. There is likely to be particular interest in budget hotel chains, with signs that this sector is becoming split between budget hotels with no additional facilities and budget hotels with limited facilities. There is also potential in the upper end of the hotel market, as there is a shortage of high quality four-star hotels that meet modern requirements.

Moving right along

Article Abstract:

A number of changes are taking place in the retail property sector in Glasgow, Scotland, as retailers prepare for the opening of the new Buchanan Galleries shopping centre. Retailers are looking to move towards this new development, and this will inevitably have a negative impact on other retail pitches. In the leisure sector, many pub operators are looking to establish a presence in Glasgow, where there are many young people with high disposable incomes.
