The demand for industrial property in the Edinburgh, Scotland, region is increasing rapidly but supply has not yet the attained the levels of the 1980s. Livingston has been developed into a centre for electronic companies with more investment planned for the future. Two reports found that around 30% of industrial companies were planning to expand their businesses or relocate. The East Lothian area has not experienced similar growth pattern as in the West Lothian district due to poor road connections. Article Abstract:

Teesside, England, is a favourite location for call centre operations but there is a lack of suitable buildings in the vicinity. The industrial market also suffers from an abundance of older style buildings. Enron have some 500 acres to sell for industrial development. British Steel have invested 2.7 million pounds on the construction of its Innovation Centre which will house offices and industrial units.
