Prophets of boom

Article Abstract:

GVA Grimley Chief Executive Michael Corbett suggests the Millennium Bug may stop some clients paying their bills at the start of 2000 but he confirms his company should see net profits rise by 20% for 1999-2000. Nelson Bakewell Chairman Philip Nelson points out the industry is suffering from a shortage of good staff. He anticipates his firm's income will rise by 20% in 1999-2000. Other property professionals also forecast a good year for their businesses but there is some concern over the effect of the US stock market on the investment sector.
