Putting a price on the right mix

Article Abstract:

The is an increasing demand from the retail trade for more space in Covent Garden, London, England particularly in Neal Street. However, some agents believe this would threaten the atmosphere and balance of the area. Many international multiples are anxious to open an outlet in Covent Garden, but the available space is not always suitable. There are also fears that if multiples come into the area then rents will rise and drive out the speciality stores.

Sunshine and shadow

Article Abstract:

Glasgow, Scotland, is seeing a revival in the real estate industry with second hand office space moving as well as premium sites. The financial services industry accounts for 68% of take-up of space, with professional companies accounting for 16%. Utility is sought rather than imposing premises. Air conditioning is not always needed and developers are delaying introducing specifications until they are sure of clients' needs.

Article Abstract:

The ceasefire in Northern Ireland has had a very positive impact on Belfast's city centre retail sector, with people no longer preferring to use only neighbourhood shops. Many mainland UK and southern Irish retailers are now eager to establish a presence in Belfast while attractive retail units remain available, and there is strong demand for key locations such as Royal Avenue and Donegall Place.
