Spoilt for choice

Article Abstract:

There is very strong demand for retail and leisure accommodation in Birmingham, England, and the surrounding area. The city has a shopping catchment of 7.2 million, but retail floorspace is currently only 170 sq mt per 1,000 people. Retailers requiring larger units are likely to move around, leaving opportunities for specialist retailers. There is still a shortage of good restaurants in Birmingham, and there is potential for quality operators. This is also the case with pubs.
