The trends so far in housing markets are examined, and the future course for these markets is predicted. The real estate market will definitely not replicate the boom witnessed in 2005. However, the price appreciation will be more stable henceforth. Overall, the industry will continue to grow in 2006 also.

Wyoming Association of Realtors president Bob Snowden hopes to grow home ownership in the state of Wyoming, where people usually need to hold down multiple jobs to make ends meet. As a result, Snowden is initiating a plan to turn interest on buyers' earnest money into a statewide affordable housing fund.

Leaders are focusing on issues related to housing, as they have realized that the differences between incomes and housing costs should be reduced. A study commissioned by NAR indicates that the time is right for the leaders to make a stand regarding affordable housing.
