Hotel management contracts: the revolution continues

Article Abstract:

Hotel operating policies, operating, replacement and capital improvement budget are being influenced by their owners. The reasons for such growing influence include stronger competition among hotel operators and the owner's and lender's penchant for more detailed negotiating and managing contracts. A court decision that puts more responsibility on the operators regarding the management and supervision of contracts also strengthens the influence of owners to hotel policies.
