What can you get away with?

Article Abstract:

Any material changes to a building under construction will require further planning permission from the local authorities. Material changes are any alterations which would need permission on an already built structure, such as a change to its external appearance or any increase in the size of the building. Some planning details are left as reserved matters when developments are approved by the authorities. Reserved matters are usually small details such as fencing and planting. A building without proper permission could be demolished.
