Novelist Pierrette Fleutiaux has received the Prix Goncourt for 'Les Metamorphoses de la reine' (1984) and the Prix Femina for 'Nous sommes eternels' (1990). Her first published work, 'Histoire de la chauve-souris' (1975) appeared with a preface from the Chilean author Julio Cortazar.
