Henri Bosco has not been counted among the greatest literary figures of the 20th century, perhaps because his work is perceived as too regional, due to its setting in Provence. The utopian nature of Bosco's work is discussed. Article text is in French.

The poetics of transgression in Valentine Penrose's 'La Comtesse sanglante.'

Article Abstract:

The novel 'La Comtesse sanglante' (1962) by Valentine Penrose is discussed, with a focus on the poetics of transgression. Penrose's work recalls George Bataille's treatment of transgression in relation to eroticism in 'L'Erotisme' (1957).
