La Question du feminisme chez Mariama Ba et Aminata Sow Fall

Article Abstract:

The Senegalese women authors Mariama Ba and Aminata Sow Fall have been characterized respectively as 'feminist' and 'antifeminist,' but this interpretation privileges a limited binary ideology while failing to consider sociocultural elements of their works. An enlarged view of feminism suggests instead that the two writers are complementary in the typology of female characters they portray. Article text is in French.

If the Internet is the answer, what was the question?

Article Abstract:

Language educators should evaluate technological applications according to the unique features of the medium, the language learning objectives that can be met, and the appropriate use of the technology in one's particular context. The example of using Internet correspondence in a fourth-semester French language course illustrates how these issues should be considered in planning use of new technological applications.
