Pick Two!

Article Abstract:

Pick Two! is a word game that can be used in foreign language study. Playing the game will stimulate thinking in the target language and promote vocabulary review. Students pick letter tiles and use them to create a crossword configuration. The game is flexible, because participants can rearrange their tiles to make longer words.

Boardwalk

Article Abstract:

The boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ, served as a promenade deck and access to the beach. The boardwalk, invented by train conductor Alexander Boardman, was the site of numerous musical shows during World War II and was used by wounded and injured servicemen.
