Pour une approche comparee des oeuvres africaines d'expression francaise: quelques exemples appliques

Article Abstract:

French teachers who want to include African literature written in French in their curricula must think about a cultural and geopolitical preparation of their students. Without such a preparation students might have such reactions as the guilt of the colonist or the cultural misunderstanding of traditions such as polygamy. Teaching such literature is described using the novel 'Une Vie de boy' by Ferdinand Oyono and the film 'Chocolat.' The text of the article is in French.

Fragmentation et economie de mots: la nouvelle au rendez-vous d'Internet

Article Abstract:

The novella and short-story genres are flourishing for ideological, economic and technological reasons. The trend reflects the fragmentation of the epoch and the influence of the Internet. The shorter format accommodates the needs of readers accustomed to jumping quickly from one thing to another. The Internet also allows authors in Africa and other regions where publishing is difficult to find readers more easily. Article text is in French.

Ecrits autobiographiques et engagement: le cas des Africaines d'expression francaise

Article Abstract:

African women writing autobiographical texts in French are few in number but show the role of the woman in the evolution of African society. The political and social action women have undertaken belie the image of African women as submissive shadows. The text of the article is in French.
