Preparing the Third World for the new millennium

Article Abstract:

It is clear that Third World countries face significant challenges as the 21st century approaches. It will only be possible to encourage wealth creation and peaceful coexistence in Third World countries if institutional reforms take place. Citizens of Third World countries should focus on designing and adopting the most suitable rules for each society, and should seek to shift away from the 'benevolent dictator' model. In order to improve macroeconomic performance, market incentive structures must be amended in such a way as to restrict opportunism and boost entrepreneurial effort.
