Russian policy towards South Asia: an update

Article Abstract:

The Russian interest in South Asia is explained by the supposition that it could become one of the central regions of confrontation between Islamic fundamentalists and the international community. Russia continues to rely on India, as it is a more interesting, as well as militarily, economically and politically more powerful partner than Pakistan.

Russo-North Korean relations in the 2000S: Moscow's continuing search for regional influence

Article Abstract:

Russian President Vladimir Putin's dualist foreign policy enhances the strategies towards partnerships with China and the United States to achieve a position in global leadership. The strengthening of Russia's position in the Asia-Pacific region by pursuing security and economic interests in promoting an enlarged regional influence is highlighted.

Mongolian-Russian relations in the past decade

Article Abstract:

The policies of Moscow related to Mongolia, formulated in the 1990s are analyzed. Moscow favors Mongolia's adoption on neutral position vis-a-vis its two giant neighbors, Russia and China, on political-strategic, trade and economic grounds.
