Social learning and production heterogeneity

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the connection between a decision maker's social learning and production behavior. An econometric model was constructed to reflect this connection. The latent class stochastic frontier model is also used to estimate a model of heterogeneous learning. Findings show a connection between social learning and production behavior. The importance of caste rank in production decisions is also discussed.
