Taiwan's self-conscious nation-building project

Article Abstract:

Some Taiwanese nationalist express the view that their country is about to be absorbed into a rising China, yet they are optimistic that broader international trends will make it possible to secure independence as early as the end of the decade. Article Abstract:

A special issue concentrating on the origins, nature, and impact of the rise of Taiwanese nationalism is presented.
