The European community and Latin America: a search for direction

Article Abstract:

Economic anomalies of European-Latin American relationship will be removed by the changing patterns of world trade. The economic environment of Latin America opens up new possibilities for better bilateral relationship based on investment and trade. European development aid to these countries will be restructured to favor better trade and investment relationship. Strong socio-cultural and political relationship has always existed between the Latin American countries and members of the European Union. The relative weakness of economic relationship will get removed in the new environment.
