The Principles of European Tort Law: The right path to harmonization?

A Law and Economics perspective is used to see how far the 'Principles of European Tort Law' succeeds in fulfilling its goal of enhancing and harmonizing tort law in Europe. An overall assessment of the Principals that could guide the future development of tort law in Europe is provided.

The influence of European consumer law on general contract law and the need for spontaneous harmonization On the disturbance and reconstruction of the coherence of national contract law and consumer law under the influence of European law

A report on the European contract law that deals with directives in the area of consumer law, that has extensively influenced the national contract law, specially in the area of unfair contract terms and consumer sales resulting in a 'Europeanized' contract law is presented.
