Une piece manuscrite de Lesage, 'L'Histoire de l'Opera-Comique ou les Metamorphoses de la Foire:' un theatre cameleon

Article Abstract:

A.R. Lesage's 'L'Histoire de l'Opera-Comique ou Les Metamorphoses de la Foire' was presented by the theatre of the Opera-Comique on June 27, 1736, at the Foire Saint-Laurent. The play is typical of those presented at fairs in being a representation of the theater itself in an allegorical form. With the fair, this means that the onlooker finds a game of mirrors between the fair and the play and also a reflection of the public's image. The comic opera of the 18th century does constitute a linking of vaudeville, the spoken word, divertissements and dancing. The text of the article is in French.

Desordre et ordre dans 'Le Roman comique.'

Article Abstract:

Paul Scarron's 'Le Roman comique' has a burlesque dissonance because characters and things are in constant movement. This is somewhat of a surface impression, though, since two characters impose two different kinds of order. Fate imposes classic order, while Ragotin is the involuntary instrument of a more elemental, natural one. 'Le Roman comique' thus resists aristocratic classicism. The text of the article is in French.

Le recet et la figuration du reve dans l'oeuvre d'Yves Bonnefoy

Article Abstract:

The differences between real and imaginary are fluid in Yves Bonnefoy's 'Recits en reve.' The style of writing is somewhat dreamlike. Bonnefoy succeeds in devising a writing style, uniting poetry and prose, which seems to fit the subject of dreams.
