A degree above the competition: accreditation enables graduates as well as business schools to stand out in a highly competitive market

Article Abstract:

Prospective MBA students should choose a business school which offers programmes accredited by the Association of MBAs. If it is not possible to attend such a school in person, then students should consider undertaking their MBA by distance learning.

Why are the business schools packed with men?

Article Abstract:

It is still much more common in the UK for a man to gain an MBA qualification than a woman, even though business schools are now making considerable efforts to attract more women. Many women remain deterred by the cost of MBA study, and some find it hard to combine study with work and family life. Many business schools are trying to overcome these problems by offering nursery schools and creches, and some are offering scholarships and bursaries for women.

The price of good GCSEs

Article Abstract:

There has been a significant rise in demand for GCSE study at private tutorial colleges in the UK. There are around 30 private tutorial colleges accredited to the Conference for Independent Further Education, most of which now offer GCSE tuition as well as A-level. These colleges can offer an attractive alternative for students who are not happy at school or who are underachieving. Most students at tutorial colleges come from independent schools, with their parents meeting the fees of at least 2,000 pounds sterling to 3,000 pounds sterling a term.
