A shock to the system

Article Abstract:

The Berlin Theatertreffen has stimulated inter-town theatre rivalry in Germany for 29 seasons by staging the best productions of the year in a festival. In 1992 13 productions are offered but none is the work of major directors. The new Berlin would be large enough to support more theatres so the festival's role may be limited. Andreas Kriegenburg is a promising new director. The Munich Kammerspiele has two productions in the festival, Schwab's 'Volksvernichtung oder Meine Leber ist Sinnlos' and Barlach's 'Der blaue Boll.' 'Blaubart' by Georg Traki is produced by Lievi. Another black comedy is Tabori's 'Goldberg Variationen.'

Why a bad job can give you a shock

Article Abstract:

Defective household repairs can sometimes have extremely serious consequences, especially if electricity is involved. However, the victims of faulty workmanship may find that the individual or company responsible is no longer accountable. The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation contractors and the Institute of Electrical Engineers provide some redress if one of their members has been responsible for poor workmanship. It can take many years for the evidence of sub-standard work to be seen, and this can create difficulties when providing evidence in court.
