A witness to the worst of times

Article Abstract:

British Jew Emmanuel Fisher, who served with the 32 Casualty Clearing Station during the second world war, was very deeply affected by his experiences of liberating Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. He began to keep a diary of these experiences, as he felt that many years later he would believe that he was exaggerating the horrors of that camp if he did not record details at the time. His diary is now part of an archive at the Imperial War Museum. The fact that he is Jewish did not influence what he wrote in his diary, and he believes that he spoke as a humanitarian, rather than as a Jew.

The system also has an artificial intelligence with plug-in type modules. Multiple windows, moving graphics, flow charts and loop control are other essential features. Process control functions can also be performed as the DCS can adopt an open system architecture.
