Acting on impulse doesn't always work

Article Abstract:

Sales of ovulation prediction kits in the UK have now reached an estimated 450,000 pounds sterling a year. All these kits use a special antibody to measure the rapid rise in luteinising hormone which takes place within 24 to 36 hours before ovulation is due to take place. They are very reliable, and are therefore very useful for couples who are trying to conceive. However, they are not very suitable for women with an irregular menstrual cycle. Furthermore, detecting a rise in luteinising hormone does not necessarily mean that ovulation will take place.

At last! The 15 pounds sterling personal trainer

Article Abstract:

Experiences of the inexpensive personal trainer service offered by Get Motivated are described. This company's personal trainers, most of whom have qualifications in exercise science or human movement study, begin by assessing the client's level of fitness, taking into account factors including abdominal strength and heart rate. Becoming involved in an exercise programme which is tailored to your particular fitness level and lifestyle can be very invigorating, but it is often hard to put other concerns aside and focus on exercising.

Funny bones: who's laughing?

Article Abstract:

Osteoporosis is normally associated with elderly women, but it also affects one in six men, causing loss of height and brittle bones. It can be associated with lifestyle factors, but can also affect men who have previously had a very healthy lifestyle. It is now becoming clear that the medical profession has for many years failed to diagnose and properly treat this condition in men.
