Adams urges IRA to give up arms to save peace in Northern Ireland

Article Abstract:

The IRA is expected to agree to a request from Sinn Fein Pres Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness to make a significant move on arms in order to ensure that the Good Friday Agreement does not collapse. Republican sources indicate that the decision to take action on weapons has already been discussed in detail within the IRA and Sinn Fein.
