Bob and Arthur's school reports

Article Abstract:

Class sizes tend to be much smaller in Denmark than in the UK, according to English teacher Bob Jelley, who recently spent some time looking at education in Denmark. Danish teachers are under less pressure than their English counterparts, and the education system as a whole is more relaxed. English schools give the appearance of being formal, but teaching methods tend to be more informal than in Denmark, according to Arthur Corneliussen, a Danish teacher who has recently spent some time in the UK.

Another death on the road. Who cares?

Article Abstract:

The families of people who are killed in a road accident often feel that they are treated very badly. In many cases, they are not informed when a trial is to take place, and are not given the opportunity to see the guilty person. This means that they miss out on an important part of the grieving process, and thus find their loss even harder to accept. The situation is made worse by the fact that courts often give only very short prison sentences to people who have caused death by reckless driving.
