Chinook Centre's urban oasis

Article Abstract:

Chinook Centre in Calgary, Alberta, boasts of one of Canada's most innovative and largest food courts, resulting from the shopping mall's latest phase of massive redevelopment project. The second-level circular food court is the size of half a football field. The food court can accommodate 900 diners, with seating ranging from wicke chairs and cosy soft furniture to armchairs and loveseats pulled around the central gas fireplace. It houses 19 units and is designed to look like one large restaurant concept.

Article Abstract:

The Sivananda Yoga Ashram is located in beautiful surroundings in the foothills of the Western Ghats in Kerala, India. Accommodation is very basic, with all facilities being shared. This yoga retreat attracts many different people, all of whom are expected to participate fully. There are two two-hour yoga sessions each day, with participants being permitted to progress at their own pace. There are some very attractive walks in the area, and there is also resident ashram masseur.

Historic Dubrovnik suffered heavy damages to its stone walls, its marble-paved main street and its 14th-century Franciscan Monastery. Refugees fill the hotels, which makes desired tourism impossible. The city has rebuilt twice before.
