Bomb that could hole the allies

Article Abstract:

The accidental bombing by Nato of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, could prove a turning point in Nato's efforts to put an end to Serb ethnic cleansing of Albanians in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia President Slobodan Milosevic is strongly aware of Nato's vulnerability, and this is why he is now seeking a negotiated settlement of the conflict. China has now taken a leading role in determining the future of Nato's actions, indicating that Nato must abandon its bombing campaign before the United Nations Security Council can discuss a plan to end the war.

How land assault could be made

Article Abstract:

It could take at least four weeks for Nato to accumulate the necessary troop resources to launch a ground-based attack against the Serbs in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. It would be very difficult to transport all the equipment required for such an attack to the region, and further problems have been created by Macedonia's refusal to allow its territory to be used as a base for an invasion. Furthermore, Kosovo's borders with Macedonia and Albania both favour the defender.
