So what happened to the crash, then?

Article Abstract:

It was widely anticipated that property markets in the UK would decline in 1999, but this has not happened. Many people are seeking to buy a house, but the number of people selling is declining. However, purchasers are no longer willing to buy a property that does not really meet their needs, simply in order to enter the property market or continue moving upwards. Job uncertainty is prompting many people to abandon plans to move house.
