Bringing sense to merger madness

Article Abstract:

Shareholder value has become an increasingly important issue for executives since the late 1980s as boards have been encouraged to concentrate on business fundamentals. Shareholder value is also receiving more attention as a result of the increasing globalization of business, which brings the need for a universal set of business measures.
