Can't get to sleep? All you need is love

Article Abstract:

The Royal Society of Medicine published guidelines for general practitioners (GPs) managing patients with insomnia. Specialist in sexual medicine Alan Riley says orgasm releases endorphins which have a sedative quality and are pain-relieving. It helps people forget the problems of the day and is physically relaxing because of the release of muscle tension. A survey of 2,500 people found 21% had problems falling asleep, waking in the night or waking too early.

Anything you recall, I recall better

Article Abstract:

Canadian research by psychologists at the University of Waterloo in Ontario discovered that women remember details of personal events more vividly than men do. Women are usually expected to have more to do with interpersonal relationships and act as the household's social secretary. At Manchester University's Age and Cognitive Performance Research Centre Professor Patrick Rabbit researches memory, which he says is a predictive tool aiding progress.

Mini-gym, tumble tots, ballet ... and burn-out!

Article Abstract:

Modern children have little time to themselves for daydreaming or climbing trees, as parents escort them to many extra-curricular activities. Self-initiated play is important for growing up. Children need to take responsibility for what they do, to develop their physical and social skills, and to motivate themselves. Research shows that bright children are those who have been allowed to daydream.
