Cut the cost of foreign money

Article Abstract:

The cost of converting money into foreign currency depends on the method selected to purchase foreign currency. However, it is generally less expensive to convert large amounts before travelling rather than waiting until you have reached your destination. It is worth taking time to seek out the best exchange rate, as there can be considerable variations. Attention should also be given to the percentage commission charged. Consideration should be given to obtaining foreign currency from Marks and Spencer, which does not charge commission.

Counting the cost of Martin's money

Article Abstract:

Novelist Martin Amis has enjoyed enviable success and public interest. He came to fame at an early age, and each new novel brings him even more attention. The latest event in his glittering career has been the controversy caused by his demand for an advance of 500,000 pounds sterling for his next novel, 'The Information.' Some observer are now starting to see him in a more negative light, particularly as he seems to be depriving younger, struggling novelists of attention from publishers.

Dirty money is now big business

Article Abstract:

Money laundering has become a very significant international business, accounting for between 2% and 5% of global gross domestic product. Most western countries are now seeking to take a very tough stance against money laundering, partly under the auspices of the Financial Action Task Force. The members of this group have recently met to discuss a wide range of issues, including how to prevent criminals benefiting from the conversion period for European monetary union.
