Jackie Malton, 42, has a successful police career but after becoming DCI in Hammersmith, London, England, chose to take the post of Kensington and Chelsea's Community Liaison Officer. She advised Lynda La Plante on the role of women in the police force for her television series 'Prime Suspect.' Overwork and stress made Jackie seriously ill and she re-thought her life. She is a member of the Committee for Women in Prison, run by ex-inmates, and belongs to a group for high-flying women, Forum.
