Dance: not a dirty word

Article Abstract:

Indian dance had become a discredited art form in the early decades of the 20th century, but has been gradually enjoying a revival. This is mainly the result of the influence of Mrinalini Sarabhia. She was determined to become a dancer from a very early age, and practised extremely hard to perfect various extremely complicated dance styles. She set up a dance school in 1948, and this has now trained more than 15,000 students.

How the dirty tricks campaign was run

Article Abstract:

In 1990 British Airways (BA) instructed its Helpline staff to hack into the British Airways Booking System (Babs) to obtain confidential information on Virgin flights. They impersonated Virgin staff when phoning handling agents Ogden Allied. BA ruined small competitors Dan Air and Air Europe by overwhelming their routes with alternative flights and special deals. Virgin survived by the strength of its other companies.

Saying no to Ulster's dirty war

Article Abstract:

The murder of her son by a paramilitary gang in Belfast, Northern Ireland, prompted Nancy Gracey, an ordinary woman and a grandmother, to speak out strongly. She reported the incident to the media, and was determined not to give into intimidation. She also formed Families Against Intimidation and Terror (Fait), an organisation which now handles around three or four new cases every week.
