Danube trade is the latest casualty of war

Article Abstract:

Nato bomb attacks on bridges over the river Danube in Serbia have had serious repercussions for shipping businesses in the region. Indeed, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce has stated that the country's five largest shipping companies are losing 5 million schillings a day because the river is blocked with rubble and alternative arrangements must be made to transport goods. Some shipping companies fear that they will have to pay for the clearance of the Danube.
