Why child vaccines may be a shot in the dark

Article Abstract:

Long-term consequences of immunisation are unknown. Many minor health problems may be the result of immunisation. The Department of Health ceased using two brands of vaccine after negative reactions to the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine were reported. The diptheria, tetanus and whooping cough vaccination is given between two and four months, but it is not known how undeveloped immune systems deal with foreign substances. US research shows cause for concern about the safety and effectiveness of vaccinations.

Article Abstract:

London Underground stations where there are frequent incidents of people trying to commit suicide by jumping in front of a train are often located near hostels or mental institutions, according to recent research. The number of suicide attempts has risen markedly since the introduction of the care in the community policy, which allows former psychiatric patients to wander around unsupervised. Only 50% of those who attempt suicide are actually killed, and some of the survivors are left maimed as a result.
