Designerwear retailing

Article Abstract:

The UK designerwear retail market is forecast to increase in value from a total 1,313 million pounds sterling in 1999 to 1,650 million pounds sterling by 2003. The women's wear market will increase from 808 million pounds sterling in 1999 to 1,002 million pounds sterling in 2003. The raising status and pay levels of women in the work place will help growth in the women's market, whereas the men's sector will see modest growth from 505 million pounds sterling in 1999 to 648 million pounds sterling by 2003.
