Everything in the garden's lovely, Coco

Article Abstract:

Karl Lagerfeld, fashion designer for the House of Chanel, has designed a garden for the 1998 Chelsea Flower Show. His Imaginary Garden of Coco Chanel, which was designed in the Baroque style with the assistance of Tom Stuart-Smith, has greenery trained into the shape of the Chanel logo. It has only white flowers, including many pure white Camellia, the favourite flower of Coco Chanel. It was necessary to establish special greenhouses in the UK and the US to ensure that the Camellia would be in flower in May.

Move over McQueen - here comes the Kansas ranger

Article Abstract:

Paris, France, is the fashion capital of the world, according to fashion designer Jeremy Scott. He grew up on a livestock farm on the prairies near Kansas City, but was very keen to live in Paris. He was soon noticed there, and his career has taken off very quickly. His work is based on a need to be a new voice in fashion and to encourage people to share his way of thinking. He is not afraid to be controversial, and does not feel that he is inspired by any one individual.
