Evil taxman shock rocks free press

Article Abstract:

Journalists in the UK have traditionally enjoyed a number of tax-free benefits, such as free gifts or even free holidays. This is particularly the case if they work in areas such as travel, food and leisure. However, this may come to an end as the Inland Revenue introduces regulations which will oblige all employees to declare all the items they receive from companies other than their own. Some free items are necessary for the production of a publication, but others are now acknowledged to be no more than bribes.

Actor Ewan McGregor, who can be regarded as one of the most popular film stars of his generation, is a dedicated family man but also likes to socialize. He mixes with many celebrities, and is also given to gossiping about other actors. He has a great deal of energy, and takes on huge amounts of work. He has begun to realize that working so hard is causing him to become isolated from his family, so has started to turn down some work.
