First with the news - but are they right with the news?

Article Abstract:

It is vital to spend as much time in the field as possible, according to Eason Jordan, president of international networks and global news gathering at CNN. He has been involved in news stories around the world, usually in a behind-the-scenes capacity. He is strongly committed to extending CNN's international coverage, and will open a new bureau in Frankfurt, Germany, later in 1998. He feels that CNN aims to appeal to people who are serious about the news, and does not seek to gain the majority of viewers.
